Recycling Information
-Plastics #1-5 and 7 are recyclable. Used napkins and tissues are NOT recyclable. Any cups that have a wax coating on the inside (such as those available at the Dugout or Starbucks) are NOT recyclable. Anything containing grease, such as pizza boxes, are NOT recyclable, however the top of the pizza box may be cut off and recycled. When in doubt, throw it out. If a recycling bin becomes contaminated, the entire bin must be thrown out.
-To reduce waste, reuse bags when shopping. Plastic bags may be recycled at the front desk of any residence hall. Used batteries, ink cartridges, and cell phones may also be dropped off at any residence hall front desk.
-Batteries can also be disposed of at the CNS division office. Prescription and over-the-counter drugs can be disposed of at the drop-box located in the entry of the Security building at 110 E. Graham St. The drop-box site is open 24/7.
