-VVV is a group for vegetarians, vegans, and any interested IWU students. They are involved in increasing student awareness about animal rights, environmental ethics, and healthy eating habits. The Ecology Action Center
-The Ecology Action Center is an environmental education center located at 202 West College Avenue in Normal. Their goal is to promote environmental stewardship of McLean county residents through education, action, and volunteerism. http://www.ecologyactioncenter.org/ During the spring they host the Illinois Sustainable Living and Wellness Expo, where local companies and organizations come together to promote healthy lifestyles and green products. Sugar Grove Nature Center
-Sugar Grove Nature Center is located in Funks Grove, roughly a half-hour drive away from IWU. The center features over 1000 acres of protected prairie and wildlife areas. Funks Grove is the largest remaining prairie ecosystem in the state of Illinois, and contains over five miles of trails for public use. The center is open Tuesday through Saturday, year round. On Saturday mornings SSC often arranges a carpool to Funks Grove for a workday, when volunteers can assist the nature center with prairie restoration projects. http://www.sugargrovenaturecenter.org/index.html
