Tommy's Reusable Container Discount
This semester, Sodexo will be starting a reusable container program at Tommy’s. Styrofoam takeout containers will no longer be offered. Instead, customers may choose between a paper container, a reusable container, or eating in.
Students, faculty and staff members will have the option of purchasing a “tag,” which they will then give to Tommy's in exchange for a takeout container. Sodexo has purchased 100 tags (corresponding to 100 containers) for student, faculty and staff use at Tommy’s.
Tags for the reusable container program can be purchased for $7.50, using either munch money or cash. Each person may purchase one tag. A tag can be traded in for a container. Once you purchase a tag, you are entering the reusable container program. If you lose the tag or the reusable container, you must purchase a new tag for $7.50.
When buying a meal using munch money at Tommy’s, you will receive 15 cents off your meal if using a reusable container.
Used containers can be returned to the register at Tommy's. Sodexo will then clean the containers. When you return the container, you will receive a tag in return. This tag can then be used to get another reusable container.
