Major Trip: We believe it to be extremely beneficial to seek speakers and visit establishments outside the local area, especially in the major surrounding cities. Ideally, two of these kinds of trips are planned each year, but we often opt to take one and make it worthwhile. This year Friday, April 7: The Accounting Society, AMA, Econ Society, and Risk Mgt & Finance Society have joined forces to provide the trip!

Here is our loosely scheduled itinerary:

TBA--Leave Bloomington
TBA--Ernst & Young -- speaking engagement at their facility**
Lunch-- Downtown St. Louis
1:30 pm--Anheuser Busch -- tour
3:30 pm--Galleria -- shopping and dinner
6:00 pm--Depart from the Galleria
7:10 pm--St. Louis Cardinals BASEBALL!!!
Will return to Bloomington after the game ends

** The appointment with Ernst & Young is still being worked out. If we can not work something out with them, we will visit A.G. Edwards who is also located in St. Louis.

Local Trips: We also believe in taking advantage of local opportunities. We usually plan three local trips per year. We are always brainstorming for different types of trips. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us!

Social Events: We plan two social events, one at the end of each semester. These are merely activities to take our minds off school and to promote cooperative spirit among students and faculty. It has been tradition at the end of the year for students (all invited!) to take on the faculty in a friendly game of volleyball.
