In lab, we will be building lots of circuits on breadboards, and it’s important to understand how they work and how to use them. Some good descriptions of breadboards and how to use them to build circuits:
- Breadboards from the Wiring project
- Electronic Diagrams from the Wiring project
- What Is a Breadboard and How Does It Work? A Quick Crash Course from MakeUseOf, with an accompanying video.
And a useful software tool:
- Fritzing is free software that aids in the design of electronic circuits. Among many other features, it has a tool for laying out circuits on a breadboard, letting you work out a good layout for a design before wiring it up in the lab. It also is good for generating images of circuits laid out on breadboards. Other applications may be better for drawing circuit schematics, though.
