Ann Harding New President of the Illinois Small College Placement Association

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.—Ann Harding, assistant director of the Career Center and Internship Coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan University has been elected President of the Illinois Small College Placement Association (ISCPA). Harding will officially begin her term as president for a year, on June 5, 2002.

ISCPA is an organization made up of 31 small colleges and universities across the state of Illinois, which collaborate with one another to provide services that connect students with employers. Services provided by ISCPA include resume referral, interview network, job fairs and ISCPAnet Works.

The organization offers students the opportunity to post their resumes online to make it easier for potential employers to seek them out, with the stipulation that the students are graduating from college or have graduated from an ISCPA institution. Also, the ISCPA coordinates on-campus interviews to attract employers who might not recruit at small private colleges and sponsors two job fairs each year—CareerFest and TeacherFest.

Member institutions include such institutions as Augustana College, Concordia University, Elmhurst College, Illinois College, Knox College, Lake Forest College, McKendree College, Millikin University, and Illinois Wesleyan University.
