Illinois Wesleyan Economics Students Present Papers at Regional Conference

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Four Illinois Wesleyan University seniors presented papers at the Midwest Economics Association's 66th Annual Meeting in Chicago last month.
The four participants and their paper titles were:

Deborah Slezak, a senior economics major from Orland Park, "Phone Usage in Europe and the United States."

David Janashvili, a mathematics major and economics minor from St. Petersburg, Russia, "How Does Technological Innovation Affect Industrial Concentration?"

Jeremy Sandford, a senior economics major from Elk Grove Village, "The Effect of English Language Proficiency on the Wage Rates of Mexican Immigrants."

Katia Hristova, a senior economics major from Bulgaria, "Czech Voucher Privatization: A Case of Decision Making Under Uncertainty"
