Illinois Wesleyan Faculty to Join Chicago Musicians in Concert

Violinist Eugene Pazin from the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Grant Park Symphony, and William Cernota, cellist with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and principal cellist with the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, will join Illinois Wesleyan faculty in a concert on Friday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall, 1210 Park St., Bloomington.

The concert, which is part of the Illinois Wesleyan Chamber Music Camp, is free and open to the public.

Illinois Wesleyan faculty performing in the concert will be The Fern Rosetta Scherff Professor of Music C. Lawrence Campbell (piano), Assistant Professor of Cello and Chamber Music Nina Gordon (cello), Preparatory Piano Instructor Joy Doran (piano), and Lisa Nelson (violin), supervisor of the Illinois Wesleyan Preparatory String Department.

The program will feature the works of Bach, Mendelssohn, and Brahms.
