Illinois Wesleyan Chamber Music Camp to Hold Six Concerts

July 9, 2003

The Illinois Wesleyan Chamber Music Camp, which runs July 6-19, will present six concerts during the next two weeks. Performances will feature music by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Vivaldi, Bitten, and Schumann.

All performances will be held at Westbrook Auditorium in Presser Hall, 1210 Park St., Bloomington, and are free and open to the public.

Following are the dates and times for each concert:

  • Student Concert #1 Friday, July 11, 7:30 p.m.
  • Faculty Concert #1 Saturday, July 12, 7:30 p.m.
  • Student Concert #2 Sunday, July 13, 3:00 p.m.
  • Student Concert #3 Thursday, July 17, 7:30 p.m.
  • Faculty Concert #2 Friday, July 18, 7:30 p.m.
  • Final Student Concert Saturday, July 19, 3:00 p.m.

The IWU Chamber Camp is open to advanced high school string players (violinists, violists, cellists, and double-bassists), and pianists. String quartets, piano trios, chamber orchestra, and string ensemble are included in the chamber music training.
