Jared Calaway, a senior history major at Illinois Wesleyan University from Bethalto, Ill., was recently awarded a Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship for 2003-04.

The award, in the amount of $1,500, is based on Calaway’s undergraduate academic performance, leadership and service on campus and in the community, and evidence of potential success in graduate study.

Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest and most distinguished national honor society dedicated to the recognition and promotion of academic excellence in all fields of higher education. Its graduate fellowship competition annually allocates more than $460,000 in awards and fellowships to outstanding students for first-year graduate study.
