Background: In addition to teaching percussion at Illinois Wesleyan, Hollenbeck is currently a doctoral candidate at the Northwestern School of Music, Evanston, Ill. He previously served as instructor of percussion and assistant director of bands at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Hollenbecks specialty is in four-mallet marimba work for which he is in high demand across the country as a clinician. His former instructors include Leigh Howard Stevens, Michael Burritt, Tom Freer, Jim Ross and Paul Yancich.
