Background: The Underground series, sponsored by IWUs Universitys Office of Student Activities, is dedicated to bringing quality entertainment on-campus for IWU students. Acts participating in The Underground this year range from live bands to magicians and comedic juggling acts.
The Clayton Miller Blues Band consists of a father and his three sons. Dad Larry is on bass, Clayton, 20, guitar and vocals, Cole, 16, drums and vocals, and L. D., 8, wails on the harmonica. The group has opened for Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Mississippi Heat, Buddy Guy, Ricky Skaggs, B. B. King, and Blues Traveler.
The Lafayette Journal and Courier says, This is not your ordinary festival band. . . .theres an urgency in this bandthat sneaky feeling that if you miss seeing them for free now, youre going to pay big bucks to see them on tour later.
