Background: “Let The Good Times Roll!” will be the culmination of the Jazz Ensemble’s three-day winter concert tour of schools in the Chicago area suburbs.
Songs performed by the ensemble will include “Mercy Mercy Mercy” as performed by the Buddy Rich Band and a big band arrangement of Charlie Parker’s “Donna Lee.”
The ensemble has been under the direction of Thomas Streeter, professor of brass instruments and theory, since 1971. Members of the Jazz Ensemble include both music and non-music majors.
