Background:

Dennis E. Groh is the Illinois Wesleyan University Chaplain and Professor of Humanities and Archaeology. He was previously a Professor of the History of Christianity at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and an Advisory Member of the Graduate Faculty of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. A specialist in early Christianity and the archaeology of Israel in the Roman and Byzantine Periods, Groh will be speaking on the ability students have each year to re-create their view of themselves.
