Event: University Chapel Hour and Special Events: A Demonstration Mass Delivered by: Reverend Gary C. Caster

Location: Evelyn Chapel, Illinois Wesleyan University, 1301 N. Park St., Bloomington.
Background: The Reverend Gary C. Caster serves the Illinois Wesleyan University and Illinois State University communities as chaplain for the St. Robert Bellarmine Newman Center, Normal, Ill. He also is Spiritual Director to the IWU Catholic Newman Organization.
Celebrated like a conventional Catholic Mass, the demonstrative Mass will maintain all traditional rites and rituals. However, Caster will pause at numerous instances to explain to the congregation the symbolic meaning of everything from gospel readings, Holy Communion, to the priest’s attire.
There will be a question and answer session after the completion of the Mass.
