Event: Illinois Wesleyan University Professor of History Thomas Lutze will lead a listening session titled “Protest Music of the 60s and 70s: A Personal Memoir.”

Date: April 22, 2003 (Tuesday)

Time:
7:30 p.m.

Admission: Free and open to the public

Location: Center for Natural Science, C101, 201 Beecher St., Bloomington

Background: Lutze will discuss musical selections by Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Peter Paul and Mary, and Jefferson Airplane as some of the best examples of protest music from the 1960s and 70s.

The event is sponsored by the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a music fraternity at IWU. One of the purposes of Phi Mu Alpha is the continual support and advancement of music education and appreciation in America.
