Event: Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music presents: Junior recitals by Katherine Keller and Robert Hopkins

Background: Performing her junior recital, Katherine Keller, a music major from Schaumburg, Ill., will sing the works of Charles Gounod, Claude Debussy, Franz Schubert, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, George Rochberg, Norman Dello Joio, John Duke and Nobuo Uematsu.
A soprano, Keller will be accompanied by Lecturer in Music Maxie Scifres on piano, and will perform the following pieces:
- Ave Maria
- Beau Soir
- Gretchen am Spinnrade
- Una Donna a Quindici Anni
- Come, My Beloved
- How Do I Love Thee?
- Be Still As You Are Beautiful
- Suteki Da Ne
For his junior recital, Robert Hopkins, an orchestral instrument major from Murphysboro, Ill., will play on violin the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, Sergei Prokofiev, Ernest Chausson, and Uematsu.
Hopkins will be accompanied by Lecturer in Music Nancy Pounds on piano, and will perform the following pieces:
- Violin Sonata No. 5 in F major, Opus 24
- Sonata for Solo Violin in D major, Opus 115
- Poeme, Opus 25
- Suteki Da Ne
