Event: Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music presents: Junior recitals by Stephanie Lynn Swearingen, Jennifer Allen, and Ann Sauder

Background: For her junior recital, Stephanie Lynn Swearingen, a piano performance major from Melvin, Ill., will play on piano the works of Joseph Haydn, Frederic Chopin, and Alberto E. Ginastera, and will perform the following pieces:
- Sonata No. 47 in B minor, Hob. XVI:32
- Nocturne in Bb minor, Opus 9, No. 1
- Scherzo in C# minor, Opus 39
- Danzas Argentinas
Performing her junior recital, Jennifer Allen, a voice major from Oak Park, Ill., will sing the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Brahms, Reynaldo Hahn, Gabriel Faure, Margaret Bonds, Jerome Kern, Billie Holiday, and Gioacchini Rossini.
A soprano, Allen will be accompanied by Lecturer in Music Marcia Hishman on piano, and will perform the following pieces:
- Smanie Implacabili
- Zingeunerlierder, Opus 103
- Der Boten Der Liebe
- Si Mes Vers Avaient Des Ailes!
- Au Bord de Leau
- Three Dream Portraits
- Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
- God Bless the Child
- Duetto Buffo di due Gatti
Also performing her junior recital, Ann Sauder, a voice major from Peoria, will sing the works of Cosimo Bottegari, Mozart, Alma Maria Schindler-Mahler, Brahms, Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Stephen Sondheim, and Rossini.
A mezzo-soprano, Sauder will be accompanied by Lecturer in Music Maxie Scifres on piano, and will perform the following pieces:
- Mi Parto
- E Amore un Ladroncello
- In Meines Vaters Garten
- Der Boten Der Liebe
- Adieu Forets
- I Remember
- The Millers Son
- Duetto Buffo di due Gatti
