Event: Concert: Illinois Wesleyan University Wind Ensemble

Admission: Free and open to the public

Program:
The program will include: “Tunbridge Fair” by Walter Piston, “Variations on ‘Mein junges Leben hat ein End’” by Jan P. Sweenlinck, “March No. 1” by Ludwig von Beethoven, “Geschwindmarsch” by Paul Hindemith, “Commando March” by Samuel Barber, “Colonial Song” by Percy Aldridge Grainger, “Five Miniatures” by Joaquin Turina, and “Festivo” by Edward Gregson.

Background: A courtyard reception featuring small instrumental ensembles will follow the concert.

The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Steven W. Eggleston, professor of music and brass instruments. The ensemble includes both music and non-music majors.
