Sons of the Never Wrong

What a great way to open our 18th season of bringing music to Illinois Wesleyan and the Bloomington/Normal community--We are opening our season with Sons of the Never Wrong! Always a favorite of Blue Moon audiences, the opportunity to hear and see the Sons never fails to delight. Their onstage demeanor incorporates nearly constant movement, often in the form of stylized dance steps, & a steady flow of shaggy dog stories between songs. However, this Chicago trio sets itself apart from the pack when they step up to the microphones and belt out one of their smart and memorable songs. Although the three have very different voices, the blend they create together is one of the most distinctive in folk music. Their vocals lean on jazzy syncopation and counterpoint more than the Roches or Neilds and their lyrics are even more willing to cross from realism to surrealism. The Sons return to the Blue Moon in support of their new CD, "On A Good Day...I Am", and their sixth effort in nearly 17 years.

Come join the fun as we welcome back to our stage, Sons of the Never Wrong. For more information about the Sons, check out their web site at: www.sons.com
