The Shelley Research Group

The Shelley Research Group (part of the Illinois Wesleyan Intelligence Network on Knowledge - IWINK) is an undergraduate Artificial Intelligence research group at Illinois Wesleyan University, named after Frankenstein author Mary Shelley. Led by faculty sponsor Dr. Lon Shapiro, the Shelley Research Group has as its goals:

• to create an "intelligence" that interacts with the "real world" -- Shelley!
• to learn about Cognitive Science,
• to learn about ourselves, and
• to challenge ourselves and have fun in the process.

The Shelley Research Group currently has several projects under way:

• The Shelley Integrated Environment (SIE)
