Cappadora Spaghetti Sauce

2 medium cans of tomato sauce

1 medium can of tomato paste

½ medium onion, chopped

1.5 lbs. ground beef, 95% lean

3 cloves garlic, chopped

2 tbs. basil

2 tbs. oregano

1 tbs. pepper

1 tbs. salt

1 tomato sauce canful of water

¾ cup sugar

3 tbs. extra virgin olive oil

1.5 tbs. red wine

1 medium potato, sliced into 4-6 parts

½ cup mushrooms, sliced

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

In a saucepan on medium heat combine olive oil and wine. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms to saucepan and brown. Add ground beef to mixture and brown. Add tomato paste and mix together. Add tomato sauce. Fill one empty can of tomato sauce with water. Mix water into saucepan. Add sugar, parmesan cheese, and remaining spices and mix well. Add potatos and simmer on low heat for two hours.
