Photo Gallery Project

Exercise 1:

1. Find at least 6 photos that on a particular theme, e.g., places I've visited, my paintings, etc.. Reduce the photos so they will work well on a web site.
2. Pick one of the photo gallery options that we did not try in class. Your options are:
   1. Centered Frame 1 - Basic
   2. Centered Frame 1 - Feedback
   3. Centered Frame 1 - Information Only
   4. Dotted Border - Black on white
   5. Dotted Border - White on black
   6. Gray Thumbnails
   7. Horizontal Neutral
   8. Simple - Horizontal Thumbnails
   9. Simple - Thumbnail Table
   10. Simple
   11. Table - Minimal
   12. Table - 2
3. Create the photo gallery.
4. Customize your photo gallery by:
   • Adding appropriate captions/descriptions for your photos.
   • Changing the font styles and colors to make a more pleasing page.
   • Changing body and link colors.
   • Including a description of your changes in the index page or in an email with your link.
     

Exercise 2: Repeat Exercise 1, using a completely different photo gallery option. For example, if you chose one of the Centered Frames, you must pick a different style, say Simple. Pick new font styles, colors, etc. to match your new page. Add appropriate captions/descriptions. Include a description of your changes on the index page or in an email with your link. You may use the same photos.

Exercise 3: Telling a story with photos. Find at least 5 photos that tell a story, that is, there is a chronological order to the pictures. Repeat the remainder of the steps in Exercise 1. Once again, pick a completely different photo gallery.
