I’m a Professor of Physics at Illinois Wesleyan University, where I teach courses in astronomy and physics. I also teach the Gateway Colloquium, a First-Year writing seminar, and work with students on research in solar system astronomy. My research interests include the physical studies of primitive asteroids and comets, and I’m frequently observing using telescopes in the Chilean Andes and Arizona. I’m also interested in the history of astronomy, and during my sabbatical in the spring of 2010 I was a Visiting Professor at the University of York, England, where I investigated the lives and work of 18th century astronomers John Goodricke and Edward Pigott. Feel free to contact me with questions.
