MIKE WAGNER      Mike Wagner, a former first team all-CCIW linebacker, begins his 11th season as an IWU assistant. This season Wagner, who started coaching with the 1992 Titans, will again serve as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach. Wagner, who is also the strength coach and an assistant athletic director at Illinois Wesleyan, won four letters at Augustana and earned honorable mention All-America status from Don Hansen's Football Gazette as a senior. A graduate of Warren (Ill.) Township High School, he received a bachelor's degree in biology/coaching and earned a master's degree in exercise physiology at Illinois State. Wagner and his wife, Beth (also a former Augustana athlete), are parents of a daughter, Rebecca, born in December 1998.
