Wagner, 309/556-3181 Event: Illinois Wesleyan University's School of Music presents Symphonic Winds Date: April 18 (Thursday) Time: 8 p.m. Location: Westbrook Auditorium, Presser Hall, 303 E. University St., Bloomington Admission: Free, open to the public Background: The Symphonic Winds is one of two performing concert bands within the IWU School of Music, composed primarily of non-music majors, and employing between 45-55 students. The group performs at least once each semester on the IWU campus. The event's program will include works by composers Alfred Reed, Vincent Persichetti, Richard Wagner, Gershwin, J.S. Bach, Dimitri Shostakovich, and Edwin Franko Goldman. |
