Blue Moon Coffeehouse Rates "Best of the Best in Central Illinois"

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Blue Moon Coffeehouse at Illinois Wesleyan has been named one of the three best places for live music in The Pantagraph’s Reader’s Choice survey of "The Best of The Best in Central Illinois."

The Blue Moon was among the top three choices of Pantagraph readers who were asked to select the best of the best in more than four dozen categories of business and services.

The Blue Moon Coffeehouse has been bringing free, acoustic music concerts to the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University and the Bloomington-Normal community since 1992.

All Blue Moon events (unless specifically designated) are presented in the Main Lounge of the Memorial Student Center, which has, over the years, gained the reputation among artists and audiences as a great listening room.

Performers at the Blue Moon have included Vance Gilbert, Ani DiFranco, Jill Sobule, Greg Brown, Patty Larkin, Susan Werner, The Uppity Blues Women and many other nationally touring singer-songwriters.
