Comedy Hypnotist Dale K to Appear at Illinois Wesleyan University

Nov. 22, 2004

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Buckle up and hold on tight! Comedy hypnotist Dale K takes his audiences on a high-energy romp through the wild and wacky. Often considered professionally insane by his fans, Dale K is an award-winning hypnotist whose unpredictable wit is just as impressive as his ability to mesmerize.

With originality and physical comedy unlike any hypnotist performing today, Dale K will appear at Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 8 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center, 300 Beecher St., Bloomington. Dale K’s show, which is sponsored by the IWU Office of Student Activities, is free and open to the public.

Dale K fans from the University of Notre Dame described him as “Entertaining and energetic with his own eccentric attitude that sets him apart from other hypnotists.” From appearances on NBC, ABC, and MTV in addition to captivating corporate and campus crowds, Dale K has shared the stage with comedians Weird Al and Carrot Top.

During Dale K’s program, audience volunteers open their imaginations through hypnosis and reveal hilarious and unanticipated talents in the spotlight. For most hypnotists that would be enough, but Dale K maintains his reputation as the funniest and most entertaining on stage today by giving hypnotism “a swift kick in the pants,” according to CAT Magazine.

This year alone, Dale K’s uncommon approach to hypnotism has earned him the title of Performing Artist of the Year from the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA), along with four other award nominations.
