Event: Illinois Wesleyan University’s School of Music presents:
A Student Composition Recital

Westbrook Auditorium, Illinois Wesleyan University, 303 E. University Ave., Bloomington

Admission: Free and open to the public

Background: Daniel Vendt, sophomore composition major from Ballwin, Mo., will present a short film entitled “So You’d Like to Save the World” with music. The film and soundtrack is the result of a creative collaboration between Vendt and Kevin McGowan, a sophomore film major at Emerson College in Boston, Mass.

Rachel Marx, sophomore composition major from Pontiac, Ill., will present “Psalmii 90: 13-14,” a work for a cappella choir. Colin A. D. Borck, junior composition and music education major from Schaumberg, Ill., will present “Snow Falling,” a solo vocal piece with piano accompaniment. Daniel Smart, first-year English major from Crete, Ill., will present “Alaska,” a piece for voice and piano.

The program also includes piece by Justin Bertino, first-year composition major from Palos Hills, Ill.
