Event: The Underground Entertainment Series presents: Singer-songwriter Ari Hest.

Date: November 13, 2002 (Wednesday)

Time: 8:00 p.m.

Location: Hansen Student Center, 300 E. Beecher St., Bloomington

Admission: Free, open to the public

Background: Since the fall of 2001, Ari Hest has produced and released his second album, entitled “Come Home,” performed in more than 100 shows at clubs and campuses across the U.S., and composed numerous original songs. He accomplished this all while graduating from New York University, in Manhattan in the spring of 2000.

Hest has gone from being a college student performing for friends and roommates, to being a career musician. Throughout his performances, Hest mixes a blend of his own works with covers from bands and artists such as, the Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac and George Michael.

The Underground Series, sponsored by IWU’s Office of Student Activities, is dedicated to bringing quality on-campus entertainment to IWU students. Acts participating in the Underground this year range from live bands to magicians and comedic juggling acts.
