Event: Concert: Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra

Time: A 6:45 p.m. pre-concert discussion will be hosted by Joy Calico, assistant professor of musicology, in the ballroom of the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.
7:30 p.m. concert
Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens, and $1 for IWU and ISU students with a valid ID

Program: Appalachian Spring composed by Aaron Copland; Concerto for Trumpet composed by Johann Fasch featuring Rick Leister, soloist and IWU professor of trumpet; Symphony No. 8 composed by Ludwig von Beethoven; Dances of Galanta composed by Zoltan Kodaly.
Background: The Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra (IWCO) will perform under the direction of Steven W. Eggleston, music director and conductor and professor of brass instruments.
