Background: Fans of Megan Mooney say that her relaxed and approachable comedy style gains her instant approval with her audiences. Her conversational act, which is an extension of her life, is flavored with skepticism and sarcasm.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Mooney graduated cum laude from John Carroll University and now resides in New York. She performs at clubs and colleges all over the country.
Mooney has worked with comedians such as David Spade, Dave Attell, Kathleen Madigan, Judy Tenuta, and Richard Jeni. She is the winner of the Funniest Person in Austin contest in 1998. In 1999 she was invited to perform in the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival, and in 2000 competed as a top five finalist in the International Seattle Comedy Competition.
After only two years on the comedy circuit, Mooney received her second festival invitation and performed in the 5th Annual Chicago Comedy Festival. Comcast Cable also will feature Mooney on their new comedy production starring national comedians from across the country.
