A Message for Illinois Wesleyan Alumni

Presidential Search Committee

I write to provide you with an update on the search for the 18th President of Illinois Wesleyan University. Most recent committee work focused on completing an advertisement for the position and a position description. This advertisement was placed in the November 7th and 14th editions of the Chronicle of Higher Education. In addition, it appeared in Black Issues in Higher Education and Hispanic Outlook.

The committee has completed a position description that will be presented to candidates to provide them with a general overview of the position as well as an overview of the campus. Both of the documents can be found on the search Web site at http://www.iwu.edu/~iwunews/Search/.

You’ll be pleased to know that the committee has begun to receive applications and review of applications is scheduled to begin in mid-January. We are off to a good start and look forward to a successful conclusion of the search next spring.
