Active Engagement

Associate Professor Rebecca Roesner of Chemistry often finds herself wheeling around McLean County. She is a member of the McLean County Wheelers cycling club, which participates in fundraising events as well as recreational bike rides. Professor Roesner is also a member of the Bloomington/Normal Lake Run Club, a recreational running club that promotes active lifestyles and organizes running events for adults and children. In addition to being physically active, Professor Roesner exercises her mind by being a member of several local and national scientific organizations including the American Chemical Society, Sigma XI, and the Association for Women in Science. Through those organizations, Dr. Roesner and several IWU students have been involved in science education outreach to local youth.
